so it’s been awhile but we’re back, yet again!  We’re adding all photos right here into albums that we too can browse on our iphone 3gs to show off our site and photos from years back!  So, no more flash albums – those will only be on RAinsites.

We hope you enjoy all our crazy updates and design changes – we sure have fun with them.  We’ll add links to our twitter and facebook here soon too… but in any case, we have wordpress on our phones so we’ll be able to update our blog much more often!

Well not exactly the woods… More like barnes and nobles but vente mocha and machiatto, while the gorganite and beautiful boo enjoyed their cookie and soup. It’s gorgeous up here in the wide open air. And of course, we r sitting waiting for ethan to finish plyig with trains. Maybe we will add pics later…

we’re spending a few minutes “upgrading” our phones. hahaha.  ohhhh yaaaa!  iphone 3.0, laugh**.  getting the photo viewer ready, oh ORANGE you all excited?? And videos too!  And if that’s not cool, how bout we even let some of ya’ll go ‘head and sign in to post your pics and videos to our site too!   ohhh yaaaa!

well, i’m in that mood again.  doodleprints has taken a toll for the most boring and unused amount that it has ever been… mostly cuz we got into this llc thing and besides free time to hang w/ the wife and kiddo, my overbearing job, and the new biz requiring hours of setup, editing and work on photos and project sites.  nevertheless, it’s that time.  i’m going to get w/ my booshienelly and redesign something fun that she’ll enjoy to blog again.  i gotta keep her interested, otherwise you gotta listen to my technobabble.  so let’s give boo a warm round of applause in help me redesign, YAAAAAY CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP hehe i stuck this in aissa’s blurbs too- cuz she never… blurbs. blurb. 

so what’s new with us? meh, not much.  work has toned down FINALLY from all the long hours and weekends… however they “say” that it’s gonna ramp up here this and/or next week cuz mngmnt doesn’t think we’ll finish yada yada but other than that it’s goin great!  thanks for asking.we’re starting to rip out the downstairs carpet and are debating which flooring that looks like wood to put in.  i know the basics of put it in the same color and same direction as other hardwood (if any) in the house – so we’ll do that.  i just don’t know if we’ll do laminate, vinyl, or real hardwood.  i’m told they’re about the same price.  tax monies will determine the rest.we also are going to knock out this stupid bar segregating the downstairs to join the rooms in the middle and then wall up the smaller area that’s open space now on either side of it. My awesome bro ha gets the props cuz he had the wonderful idea and blue printed it for us on how to do it.  i think at first  (until we dry wall the entire downstairs walls and ceiling) we’ll just put in some two way book shelves or something contemporary like that next to the three way fireplace that will be flipped to face to the left and right into each part of the room and towards the entry of the room instead of the stupid wall facing pit we have now.  i feel like i should be roasting tiny animals in secret w/ this thing.  anyone want a hunk of copper? it’s so ugly.  i’m told it’s worth quite a penny though… maybe it’ll pay for some of our remodeling. then the closets next to the downstairs doors – ew… and they’re just boarded up w/ cheap wallboard.  it doesn’t even look nice – so ya, that’s going too.  that should open 2 1/2 more feet into the room and we’ll probly put shelves for things like, oh i dunno, a bible, picture frames, LARGE fish tank… such.  We don’t currently have any dust keepers in the house- figure if we’re gonna live here a lil while, might as well look like we’re moved in.i always write a novel, why?  well i gotta get upstairs and play some video games with boo for a bit and then eat some yummy pad thai and fry-rye (that’s how i say fried rice to make fun of boo) and then we’re gonna watch more episodes of house.  good stuff, good times, great oldies.  love,robbie, aissa, ethanael, nikko, choco, the fish (the last one anyway- b00 ;( !! ), & Kermitt that has yet to see its custom license plate from last year.  slackers. 

well since we’re consistent in being inconsistent on our updates, i figure i’ll wish everyone a happy valentine’s (or is it valentines’?) day.  We put together a couple things for RAinsites for products but I think it’s getting pretty close to late and we didn’t get to send advertising out, but that’s ok -we’re ready for next year already with our graphics and ads.  hope ya’ll enjoyed my lil digital “card” to aissa of our past years together.  It’s nice to just look back every once in awhile.  We’ve come a long way.  It just snowed again today.  It’s really rather beautiful outside.  I’ve been working some really crazy shifts getting ready for today as our team went into formal quality test and it’s been a real strain on seeing the fam.  I’ve seen gorgar the past few days for only a couple hours and the other few hours i was home I attempted to get some sleep – but being as how i hate to find time to sleep that was difficult too.  We’ve been having lil veg sessions together lately late at night watching episodes of The Office season 1, 2, and just finished 3.  Good stuff that show.  If you want a good laugh, you should tune it in and watch a couple episodes – it’s basically all the taboo stuff of the office all in one show, in every episode.  We dropped blockbuster and swapped back to netflix – they have this really awesome program that you can watch shows/movies over the internet.  My first thought when I saw that on tv was meh, I’d rather watch it on TV in better quality or iTunes.  Well it turns out iTunes movies are actually only like 600×400 in size and still look good full screen but they’re not top quality and the shows over netflix on instant view are larger in size and can’t really tell any difference, I’m not sure if there is even any diff.  So ya, good stuff if you don’t wanna pay for HBO and all those things that don’t have very good movies anyhow- and this lets you just click instead of waiting for the mail or going to the store for a limit of 3 movies or paying for rentals.  ok enough of that.Recently we sent out a request for feedback on our about us and we’ve got a lot of good suggestions – thanks all ya’ll!  We do have the forms we need, and we have all the necessary permissions for everything we’ve used – the only thing we need now is our privacy policy and terms of use (you’ll find it at the bottom of the page on rainsites.com) reviewed for clarity.  At some point when we grow larger in business and customers, we need to take that to a lawyer.  We’re just trying to minimize our up front costs.  However, our estimated cost per our business plan ended up about right – and we even saved money in places from doing a lil research on companies.  A note for anyone wanting a merchant account (which is someone to process your online cc transactions)- if you call and start looking, but don’t need it right away , the longer you “wait” equals the more deals you’ll be offered from merchants account hosts that really really want your business.  I’ve trimmed it down to two diff merchants that we might go with once we need to use them.  Had I just went with someone I would’ve been charged more than I needed to be.  Also, make sure you’re not obligated to any contract (check terms of service) EVEN if they swear they’ll cross it out for your application.  Usual contracts are 3 years and usual costs of merchants are $25 min/month or you’ll be charged whatever remains with discount rates no more than 2.3% (or look elsewhere), hopefully someone dependable like authorize.net w/ a $10/month fee for the services (they keep track of EVERYTHING for you and send you statements) and then sometimes you’ll get the merchant fee / transaction of some minimal %.  All  in all not a bad deal.  Sure, paypal may have its benefits for doing biz over the net under $1000 – just be ready to go give back that money if anything were to go wrong because Paypal won’t back you up – THAT’s why people go with merchant accounts.  Just google paypal horror stories.  Good stuff.  Made up my mind really quick.wow. i’m sure that was a bunch of bla.  Thanks brad by the way – you rock.  He needs friends, go leave him a message to raise his self esteem – bradtothemax.com.  That’s where he blurbs his useless bla.  Well not much else to say here… oh ya- ethan said another sentence:MY feet are cold.not much. but cute. and yes we put sox on him – he had just woke up and was running around like he always does first thing in the morning.  Fun stuff – he wakes up at 7-8, comes in and says good morning, goes downstairs lets choco out, choco comes to say good morning, then Ethan turns on his morning cartoons and sesame street and will come back after about 30 minutes and say HUNGRY.  That’s that.   ok i’m gonna stop.love,Robbie, Aissa, Ethanael, Nikko, Choco, the fishy (the other two didn’t make it after the tank change to the 10 gallon), and KERMITT (which is still without its new license plate.)
